Alan was born in Buckingham and trained at Lewisham College and London Studio Centre. He then joined AMP/New Adventures in 1997 – stage credits include The Swan/Stranger in Swan Lake, creation of the role Luca in The Carman, creation of the role of Speight in Play Without Words, the Nutcracker in Nutcracker and roles in Cinderella and Spitfire.

Alan has worked for various opera companies in works such as Terry Gilliam’s The Damnation of Faust, Midsummer Marriage, Turnabout, Carmen, The Fairy Queen and Trojans. He was also in Dirty Dancing in the West End playing various roles, and was a part of the creative team for the opening of the Olympic Ceremony 2012 which he also performed in.

He worked with Jazzxchange and performed in various music videos and TV adverts. He also teaches workshops all over the country for Re:Bourne where he has taken Lord of The Flies on a UK Australian tour as Resident Director. Alan joined the Mark Bruce Company for Sea Of Bones and appeared in Dracula and The Odyssey.
